I was born in North Bay, Ontario.  I have always drawn since I was a child wanting to be just like my grandmother "Grace Van Every DeLorme" who painted in oil.  Doodling and drawing after school was something I always did.  In high school I took art class every year because I could never get enough of it.  In 1995  in the small town of Iron Bridge, a crashup car derby was to take place.  My husband was entering a car in this.  I came up with the idea of painting on the car and through the course of my actions the following derby was to have a contest for "Best Painted Car".  I painted four cars for this derby.  This was the first time that I actually craved for the fun of painting.  Unfortunately I still never picked up a paint brush until after my grandmother passed away in the summer of 2002.
